Ilya Kormiltsev

Ilya Kormiltsev (Russian:Илья Кормильцев, b. September 26, 1959, Sverdlovsk, former USSR (now Yekaterinburg) - d. February 4, 2007) was a Russian poet, translator and publisher.

Kormiltsev is most famous for working as songwriter and producer in Nautilus Pompilius, one of Russia's most popular bands.

He understood the English and French languages to a near-native level and translated books in these languages into his native Russian.

On a visit to London in January 2007, Kormiltsev fell and injured his spine ([1]).

On January 22 Kormiltsev was diagnosed with incurable spinal cancer, and he died on February 4, 2007, aged 47 ([2]).
