Ildjarn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ildjarn was a raw black metal solo project from Norway that features themes such as reverence for nature and hatred of humanity. The man behind Ildjarn is Vidar Vaaer, known to some as only "Ildjarn". Some Ildjarn releases are collaborations with the musician Nidhogg; these are credited under the name of "Ildjarn-Nidhogg".
As of 2006, the band website stated that no more news will be printed on the website, leading to the conclusion that Ildjarn has ended. The fact that the last release is called "Ildjarn is Dead" pretty much sums it up.
Ildjarn didn't actually record any new material after the Hardangervidda session in 1997. All material released afterwards are compilations of old and unreleased material.
