The Iksar are one of the playable races in Sony Online Entertainment's popular MMORPGs EverQuest and EverQuest II, and also appear in other games of the series.

First introduced in The Ruins of Kunark expansion in April 2000, the Iksar are a lawful-evil race of intelligent and religious reptiles. They follow the teachings of the God of Fear of the EverQuest pantheon, Cazic-Thule. They possess a long history of conquest and enslavement, and were among the first races to discover and spread Necromancy. They are hated across the world, and often at odds even within their own ranks.

In term of gameplay, their scaled skin give them a great armor bonus at the drawback of not being able to wear plate armor. Adding their innate regeneration they make great monks and more than decent necromancers. Owing to their reptile nature they also possess exceptional night vision, foraging and swimming abilities.
