ZDS!

--GeneralPatton 10:40, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Jadu i bedo!
Ozbiljno, Igore reci mi zašto ovoliko fundamentalistički, radikalno mrziš Hrvate i Bošnjake? To si imao neku osobnu tragediju? Bog i Hrvati! --GeneralPatton 23:25, 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Igor

Thanks very much - also, for the list of monasteries etc burned - where is that information from? Can we attribute the reports? Appreciate it, Mark Richards 00:48, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Igor, what is the copyright status of those images of RS banknotes and stamps that you recently uploaded? In my experience, banks very rarely give permission for people to copy their notes. If you've got this permission, could you please add it to the relevant image pages? Unfortunately the images will probably have to be listed as probable copyright violations otherwise. -- ChrisO 01:17, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I did not know that Banks do not allow for pictures of banknotes to be taken? What about numismatic publications? You are not going to try and convince me that they need to get permission from every single Central Bank in the world? This has nothing to do with counterfitting, notes are not life size.
As far as I know, banks almost always prohibit unauthorised reproductions of their notes because of the obvious dangers of counterfeiting. And I think numismatic publications do have to get permission - banknotes are usually copyrighted by their issuers and you have to get special permission to reproduce any aspect of them. See http://213.225.140.30/banknotes/repoappform.htm for an example of how the Bank of England handles this. -- ChrisO 01:32, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Nonsense, numismatic publications catalog currencies of the world, getting permission from every bank would be impossible and just one missing currency (or pictures of them) catastrophic. It might be the case in the UK but not in the rest of the world.
This is the official page of the National Bank of Serbia, no such warnings, they don't even place the words SPECIMEN over the banknotes which I will do to get you off my back. http://www.nbs.yu/serbian/7_3.htm --Igor 0:54, 21 Mar 2004 {UTC)
It does have copyright notices on the page, though. Please don't think I'm trying to make trouble for you - it's just that if you're actually in Serbia, you could have problems with anti-counterfeiting laws. I certainly would if I uploaded Bank of England notes without permission. -- ChrisO 02:09, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Every single page has a copyright notice on http://www.nbs.yu, that's customary for a website. It has no particular warnings or notices concerning the use of pictures of its banknotes in fact I remember quite clearly newspapers using them to fill their pages as background when it comes to financial stories.
I added the words SPECIMEN in red over the images, just so you can get a good night's sleep tonight, seeing how much you worry about them coming after me for counterfitting. --Igor 1:18, 21 Mar 2004 {UTC)
Anyways, it must be my lucky day since the Republika Srpska as of 1996 no longer has its Central Bank and thus the issuing authority that allegedly holds the copyright no longer exists, that makes it public domain. Tu?an dan za krelce :). -- Igor
Good point! They use the convertible mark now, right?
Incidentally, were there ever any RSK notes or did they just use those of the FRY or the RS? -- ChrisO 01:32, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)
You will know the answer to that when I get to do the Republic of Serbian Krajina page. -- Igor 0:54, 21 Mar 2004 {UTC)

Igor, could you please add some copyright info to Image:Serbia100Din.jpg? If you have permission to reproduce the note, that should be stated clearly. -- ChrisO 01:52, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hi, Igor! I moved your addition of the name of North Ossetia-Alania in the Ossetic language out of the info box into the article intro. The reason for that is that the info box headers have only the names of the federal subjects in their official languages. Since Ossetic is not an official language of the republic (only Russian is), the name in that language should not be there. Thanks for the great addition, though!--Ëzhiki (erinaceus europeaus) 20:36, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)

No problem - Igor

[edit] Serbs

I see you recently added a lot of population information to Serbs. Do you have any sources for this? If so, could you please cite them? I've found that these sections on population statistics are often very controversial. See Armenians (people) for an example of handling this in a way that I think will stand up to scrutiny. -- Jmabel | Talk 09:01, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Misuse of minor edits

Igor, please don't mark the deletion of a chunk of text as a "minor edit" (as you did on Greater Serbia). That's an abuse of the minor edits function and is against policy - see Wikipedia:Minor edit for more information. -- ChrisO 09:05, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Image copyrights

Thanks for uploading Image:Srbinje.jpg and Image:Srpski jezik.gif. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GFDL, or fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, — Edwin Stearns | Talk 18:36, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)

P.S. Ako želite pisati o "srpskoj kulturi", posjetite stranicu http://www.srbovanje.com i napasite oči biserima svjetske kulturne baštine.
