WRT: Notability. The Master of Wine programme is one of the most exclusive titles in the world - putting him in the same echelon as such wine luminaries as Hugh Johnson or Jancis Robinson. About three quarters of those who attempt it fail, and the vast majority of living MWs are in the UK. That he is Canada's only MW is certainly notable. Indeed, given the small number of MWs, it would probably be a reasonable idea to make a page listing all of them, at least by name.
