Igor Rakočević

Igor Rakočević (Cyrillic: Игор Ракочевић; born March 29, 1978 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian professional basketball player currently playing for TAU Cerámica in Spain. He is a graduate of the IX-th Belgrade Gymnasium. He has Montenegrin roots, with his family hailing from Kolašin[citation needed].

Rakočević was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2nd round (51st overall) of the 2000 NBA Draft. He didn't play until the 2002-03 season, in which he amounted 244 minutes in 42 games and averaged 1.9 points, 0.8 assists, and 0.4 rebounds per game. He was released after the season and signed by the San Antonio Spurs who also released him shortly after.
