When Edward Nygma, the creator of the computer game, "Riddle of the Minotaur," demands his share of profits, he is fired. Nygma vows revenge, and years later when his former boss Daniel Mockridge is selling his company Nygma makes his move, in a new guise, that of the Riddler. He then captures Mockridge, and attempts to murder him inside a real life version of the game. Batman and Robin then must navigate through the maze to save Mockridge.

After much difficulty, the Dynamic Duo manages to save Mockridge, but The Riddler escapes. In addition, Nygma has the satisfaction that his hated former employer is now gripped with a maddeningly constant fear of his return.
