If.comeddies

The If.comeddies award is the replacement for the Perrier Comedy Award. The most renowned accolade at the annual Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It is sponsored by the Scottish bank Intelligent Finance.

On 23 August 2006 the first list of nominees was announced.

The winner of the 2006 if.comeddies award was Phil Nicol and the winner of Best Newcomer was Josie Long. Mark Watson was awarded the panel prize for 'Spirit of the Fringe'.
