Idanha-a-Nova (pron. IPA: [i'dɐɲɐ ɐ 'nɔvɐ], quickly pron.; /i'dɐɲa 'nɔvɐ/) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 1,416.4 km² and a total population of 10,929 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of 17 parishes and is located in the district of Castelo Branco.

The present mayor is Álvaro José Cachucho Rocha, elected by the Socialist Party.

The municipal holiday is the Monday 15 days after Easter.
