Ida Presti

Ida Presti, (1924 - 1967) French classical guitarist and one of the greatest performers ever, was born on May 31, 1924 in Suresnes, France. She met Alexandre Lagoya in 1951. The two formed the most accomplished Classical Guitar duo in history and performed over 2,000 concerts. On April 24, 1967 she died of lung cancer-related complications at 43 during a concert tour in the United States.
