Ida Bagus Wiswantanu is the Chief Government Prosecutor in Bali, Indonesia.

Wiswantanu has stated that in 90 per cent of more than 200 narcotics cases he has handled, he has obtained the sentence he has sought for the accused. He also claimed that the one in ten cases in which judges have wound back his sentence requests are the small ones, "usually less than 100 grams". (Source: The Age/Matthew Moore/21 May 2005/)

Wiswantanu has received much attention recently during the prosecution of convicted Australian drug-smuggler Schapelle Corby, a case that some people claim has harmed relations between Australia and Indonesia.

Since June 2005 Wiswantanu, himself, is under investigation requested by KPK, Indonesia's new anti-corruption ministry, following reports accusing him of corruption and law abuses in another case he was handling in 2005.
