iComic is a popular open source program used for automatically downloading webcomics from their respective websites using user-created scripts. It is currently only available for Mac OS X (Panther or later).

iComic boasts a wide array of features, including a tabbed interface, tight integration with Mac OS X, a standard Apple brushed metal interface, and the ability to search through comic archives using user added comments. Optionally, it can also download entire archives of comics.

Aside from the included plugins, users can download or script their own Perl-based plugins for iComic, giving it the ability to view any webcomic, providing the user can obtain or create a compatible plugin. This approach often has issues, especially if the webcomic does not specifically support iComic; plugins are frequently broken by unexpected changes to the comic's webpage.

An offshoot of iComic, dubbed iComic Dashboard Edition, is currently under development.
