[edit] Plot summary

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

When Steve's new relationship with his girlfriend gives Francine empty nest syndrome, she tries to convince Stan to have another baby. Meanwhile, Roger tries to enroll in college with Haley in order to experience college life, but while Roger ends up teaching the class, Haley finds a new crush in her classmate Ethan (Elijah Wood), who turns out to be far from normal.

[edit] Cultural references

  • The title is a play on "Ice, Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice. 4
  • When Roger says "Electric word, life. It means forever and that's a mighty long time," he is quoting from the prelude to Prince's song Let's Go Crazy.
  • When Roger tries to put Hayley in detention and she corrects him by saying "There's no detention in college." Roger then "takes" 50 points from Gryffindor.
  • Stan compares Steve with the fall of Saigon, Francine's uterus being Saigon and Steve's birth being the last chopper out.
  • Stan is suffering a series of pain. When the radio comes on he yells "My Sharona" and when the TV comes on he yells "My Best Friend's Wedding! My eyes again!"
  • Francine tries to have sex with Stan while he's asleep, and Stan wakes up, calling Francine a Succubus.
  • When Roger reveals Ethan he's not really a professor ("I wanted people to think that I'm smart, but I'm an idiot"), he says he prefers to come back to his old life watching bad television, "quit trying to do 'The Majestic' and just go back to Ace Ventura". Both "The Majestic" and "Ace Ventura" starred Jim Carrey, and Seth McFarlane was a writer for the cartoon adaptation of Ace Ventura.
  • The Vasectomy office is completely Anime themed, including Anime characters, an Asian nurse and Japanese style Manga Magazines.
  • During Stan's post vasectomy sex he mentions a position called the "Reverse Bulldog" to Francine, adding that she needs to punch him harder. The Reverse Bulldog is commonly known as a Wrestling move.
  • While at the C.I.A warehouse, Stan is washed away, with what he thinks is a torrent of sperm, adding "I feel like Tara Reid on an average Tuesday", Francine then finds out that it was in fact milk and not sperm shortly after.
  • Francine looks for Stan's sperm and finds a sperm sample for Janet Reno, who is a woman.
  • Roger sings Bing Crosby's "Moonlight Becomes You" while being held captive.
