From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Egyptians Ibrahim Hussein Abdel Hadi Eidarous and Adel Abdel Bary have been in the custody of the United Kingdom since 1999,[1] fighting extradition to the United States, where they are wanted[2] in connection with the 1998 United States embassy bombings. See also Khalid al-Fawwaz.
In the indictment, Eidarous and Abdel Bary are accused of sending statements to several press organs shortly after the bombings, claiming to represent the people responsible. Eidarous is described in the indictment as a member of the Founding Council of Egyptian Islamic Jihad and a former head of its Baku cell, subsequently appointed by Ayman al-Zawahiri to head its London cell.
Another alleged EIJ officer in the UK is Hani al-Sibai.
