There was an inordinate amount of commentary in parenthesis, which I attempted to reword in a decent manner. Please correct if you don't think it to be appropriate, but parenthetical remarks are hard to read. I have to fight the urge to keep down such remarks, myself, tending to insert excess factoids into otherwise useful information....
Also, HDD-related development is still being done at the IBM Rochester site by former the IBM STD resources divested to Hitachi GST. HGSTers from IBM don't like to forget their heritage. GMW 05:59, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
