Ibaraki (茨城町; -machi) is a town located in Higashiibaraki District, Ibaraki, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 34,964 and a density of 287.44 persons per km². The total area is 121.64 km².

The town will merge with Mito, Ibaraki on December 8, 2007, and Ibaraki town as an independent municipality will cease to exist.
