[edit] License tagging for Image:Activediffwiki.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Activediffwiki.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:04, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your addition to the general relativity article

Ian -

First of all, welcome to Wikipedia. It is good to have someone else involved who is interesting in general relativity.

Secondly here are some useful link for newcomers to Wikipedia:

Thirdly, there is the business of your new section in the general relativity article: "Einstein on Background independence - 'Beyond my wildest expectations'". A Wikipedia guideline says "don't bite the newcomer", but even so I cannot let that section stay there. It is trivial with respect to the overall article, undocumented, and full of personal musings. However, the part on the "hole argument" is useful, and I would like to see it transfered to the article called hole argument and refined there.

So kindly accept my apologies in you feel bitten. I assure you that I am willing to work with you to add to the content of this encyclopedia, but you need to work with what is already present. You also would be well advised to review what Wikipedia is not. Thank you much, EMS | Talk 21:15, 24 April 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Hole argument

Hey, do you have any idea what you're doing to the history of the Hole argument article?!?  :-)

But seriously, thanks very much for your contributions. Hopefully when the article settles down a bit, you can start using edit summaries and batching your minor edits together so it's easier for the rest of us to follow what you're doing. --P3d0 18:30, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
