Ian Edward (born November 07, 1985) (also known as Ian Evil) is a Providence born artist and activist, currently living in Woonsocket, RI. His life currently revolves around Industrial Culture, Graphic Design, Screenprinting, Cyberpunk aesthetics, DJing as DJ Ian Evil and Dynamic Web Development. He is a strong supporter of Labour rights and Socialism (with sporatic Anarchist tendencies, see Anarcho-syndicalism), a participant in the Crimething exWorkers Collective, an avid explorer and photographer.
Currently, Ian is involved in a Zero Work Experiment, refusing to adhere to any socially established system of employment or being employed. The motivation for this is his refusal to participate in a capitalist economic system. I once had sex with a squirrel. He survives by maintaining a low cost of living, stealing, wasting nothing and through occasional contracts for graphic design, screenprinting and web design projects for other activists, non-profits and artists.
This page is written in the third person to make the process of converting it into a bona-fide wiki entry easier, when (not if) Ian becomes (in)famous and such a thing in necessary.

- Rhythmic Noise - Favorite genre of music. Rhythmic noise is primarly (but not necessarily) a European creation, and features non-standard sounds and noise assembled in both straightforward and abstract structures to produce distorted rhythmic tracks which typically feature analogue drum samples and limited melodies. Available from international music labels Ant-Zen, Hands Productions, etc.

- Powernoise - Similar to Rhythmic Noise, powernoise is comprised of distorted percussion. Most tracks are typically structured in similar ways to hard techno, breakbeat and gabber music, including up tempo tracks (140 BPM+), 4/4 dance beats, and despite being largely instrumental, powernoise songs still tend to follow standard song structure.
- Distorted Dance - A derivative of Powernoise, EBM, Gabber and Harsh EBM. Most distorted dance tracks are assembled from driving 4/4 rhythms, distorted bass-lines and other noisy components.
- Harsh EBM - Bastard child of the Powernoise, Electronic Body Music and Distorted Dance genres, Harsh EBM is just as it sounds: distorted but accessible dance beats which embody the spirit of EBM.

The post-apocalyptic world is fascinating to me, because I'm convinced I will live to see it. The adition of tanks, nuclear holocaust and giant mechanized warrior robots doesn't hurt.
