Born in London, England 1963. Grew up in Clevedon, a small town in the west of England.

I have lived overseas for quite a number of years and have recently moved to Hong Kong.

I have a BA (Hons) in Music Studies (which is essentially a course in Ethnomusicology) from London University's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from Kingston University.
