Ian Ziering

Ian Andrew Ziering (born March 30, 1964) is an American actor known for playing Steve Sanders (supreme bad ass) on the television series Beverly Hills 90210.

Ian (pronounced EYE-an) was born in Newark, New Jersey to Mickie and Paul Ziering. He grew up in West Orange, New Jersey and has two brothers, Jeff and Barry, both of whom are more than 10 years older. His father jokes: "Ian is the best mistake I ever made."

Ian's mother passed away 9 years ago, and he has talked openly about how close he was to his mother.

Ian is currently a celebrity dancer on Season 4 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars (US TV series).[1] His professional dance partner is Cheryl Burke, who won the competition last season with partner Emmitt Smith, and also the prior season with partner Drew Lachey.

Last year, Ian produced, directed and starred in the short film, Man vs. Monday, which recently won the Audience Choice Award at the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival. Also last year, Ian won the Best Actor Award at the Monoco Film Festival for his portrayal of "Francis" in the independent film, Stripped Down.

Ian has also appeared in the television series JAG, What I Like About You, The Doctors and Guiding Light.

He is divorced from former Playboy playmate, Nikki Schieler-Ziering. Their marriage ended in 2002.
