Ian McLaglan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ian McLagan played keyboards for the Small Faces, the 1960s British mod group. Other members included Ronnie Lane, Steve Marriott and Kenny Jones. Commonly known as 'Mac' by contemporaries, he also played as a guest for albums with The Who and numerous other solo and one-off performances. A contemporary of the likes of John Lord (Deep Purple), Steve Winwood (Traffic) and later Rick Wakeman (Pink Floyd amongst others), McLagan has not yet received due credit for his contribution to the Mod sound that began with The Animals and other such groups. He was a key member of the Small Faces, and his best work can be heard on singles such as "Watcha Gonna Do About It", and the album Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.
