Ian Gainsford

Sir Ian Derek Gainsford (born 24 June 1930) was Dean of King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry, King’s College London, 1988–97 and Vice-Principal, King’s College London, 1994–97. He is President of the Maccabaeans.

Sir Ian was the son of Rabbi Dr Morris Ginsberg. He was educated at Thames Valley Grammar School, Twickenham, King’s College and King’s College Hospital Medical School, London and Toronto University, Canada.
