Ian Chubb

Professor Ian Chubb AC, MSc, DPhil (Oxon), Hon DSc (Flinders), is the Vice Chancellor of the Australian National University. He has held this post since 2001.

Professor Chubb has a Masters in Science, a DPhil from the University of Oxford and is an honorary doctor of science from Flinders University. He was made an Officer in the general division of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 1999, and was made a Companion of the Order in 2006 for service to higher education.

Chubb has also been Vice Chancellor of Flinders University, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Wollongong, the president of the Australian Vice-Chancellors' Committee and chairman of the Group of Eight university lobby group.
