[1]Ian Axton is a British television newsreader, who works for ITV Meridian.

Axton is a regular presenter of the regional news bulletins and Meridian Tonight.

Axton has also been seen presenting ITV London Tonight and the ITV Morning News, which is broadcast at 5.30 on ITV1.

Before joining ITV Meridian, Ian worked in commercial radio and ran a company which operated a number of stations along the south coast.
