[edit] About The Ari
I am The Ari™, a person who has a web page at theari.com. I am a lifetime resident and citizen of the United States of America, originally from North Dakota. I graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota, worked for some time in IT, and then proceeded on to law school at the College of William and Mary, from which I will graduate in 2007.
I am a casual Wikipedian - my edits tend to be sporadic and made to fix things that jump out at me as I read. These include grammar, spelling, and questions on article talk pages when something seems wrong but I cannot determine what is right. I also tend to make notes about things that logically don't make sense or that are in desperate need of citations (particularly those facts that sound like opinions).
Because I have extremely varied interests, the articles I make substantive edits to likewise vary considerably. For instance, I am the original author of the headbolt heater article, a contributor on several firearms-related articles, and a frequent editor of law-related articles.
I am also friendly and welcome all discussion, whether it is inquisitive or critical. Post on my talk page if you want to get my attention.
[edit] Not Legal Advice
I am not a lawyer. Even if I become a lawyer, that will not make me your lawyer. Nothing I post on Wikipedia or anywhere else is intended to be legal advice unless I explicitly and specifically indicate otherwise (which I will never do on Wikipedia). You should not interpret anything I say as being legal advice or even as being a correct statement of the law. If you need legal advice, please consult a lawyer. I have also never played a lawyer on TV. Any resemblance between myself and a lawyer or a person who has played a lawyer on TV would be really neat, but is purely coincidental and is not grounds to interpret anything I say as being legal advice.
Furthermore, Wikipedia does not provide legal advice. For a further explanation of this policy, please carefully and thoroughly read Wikipedia:legal advice.
This general rule should help you not only with the Wikipedia law articles, but also with other articles and with information made available on the internet in general: Do not believe everything you read, and if you need expert advice on any topic then you should hire an expert on that topic. This applies equally to attorneys, doctors, carpet installers, masons, pilots, farmers, and anything else that a person might know about.
