I Spy is a children's book series written by Jean Marzollo and illustrated with photographs taken by Walter Wick. It is published by Scholastic Press. A typical I Spy book contains pictures of various items, either in one massive clutter, or set up as to portray a scene, for example, a haunted house. On the bottom of each picture is a two-line riddle, instructing the reader on what items to search for. Occasionally one must find words spelled out on the objects, which is denoted in the riddle with all capital letters.
Usually Wick would take the photos and Marzollo would then write the riddles.
