I Only Want To Be With You is the first solo single to be released by British singer Dusty Springfield. Recorded while still a member of The Springfields, the song was released in November of 1963, three weeks after The Springfields' final concert. It was a popular success, reaching #4 in the British charts, and #12 in the US charts, helping to start the British Invasion of 1964. Springfield's version remains the definitive one; the song being more closely associated with her than others who have covered it.

The Tourists ' version of the song reappeared on December 31, 1992-1 January 1993 when Thames Television left broadcasting forever in the United Kingdom from ITV before Carlton Television began broadcasting. The retrospective program had that song with clips. There was no dialogue and sound,just the song. And in the ending of the broadcast,lines appeared and an announcer narrated the lines: "Thames: A Talent for Television..."
