"I Hope You Dance" is a popular crossover song co-written by songwriter Tia Sillers and performed by country singer Lee Ann Womack along with Sons of the Desert. The song, which was featured on Womack's 2000 album of the same name, reached #14 on the US Hot 100 Billboard Chart and #1 on the US Country Chart.

"I Hope You Dance" won the 2001 Grammy, CMA, ACM, NSAI, ASCAP and BMI song of the year awards. In addition, the song inspired a series of gift books that themselves became best-sellers.

On December 11, 2000, Lee Ann Womack performed the song at the annual Nobel Peace Prize concert honoring the winners.

In 2004 Lee Ann Womack performed the song at the Republican National Convention.

In 2004, it was covered by Irish singer Ronan Keating and reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart.

The song has also been used as the theme for an inspirational TV spot by the Foundation For A Better Life.
