"I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love" is a song by R&B singer, Stephanie Mills and is the second single from the singer's 1985 self-titled album. The song was written by Angela Winbush and Rene Moore, both of members of the singing duo, Rene and Angela.

The single did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100, which was common for most R&B songs at the time. However, the single managed to peak at #1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, becoming her first #1 single on that chart and one of her most successful singles in the R&B markets.
