Dustin Donaldson co-founded I Am Spoonbender as a musical project after leaving San Francisco's Pansy Division. Dustin and Brian Jackson began serious work on the album Sender/Receiver with the inclusion of Vancouver's Robynn "Cup" Iwata in 1997.
