After Batman is injured by the Penguin, two kids who saw it hid Batman in one of the kid's home. The Penguin, however, follows them, and fights the heroic preteens, who distract him long enough for Batman to recover and defeat the Penguin.

Many fans do not like the episode for its alleged cuteness and poor script. [1] Bruce Timm himself has commented that the script and story are terrible. [2]

This episode marks the first appearance of one of Batman's deadliest foe's, The Penguin.

The Penguin looks very much like how Danny DeVito did in Tim Burton's Batman Returns. This happened because Batman Returns was released the same year that Batman: the animated series' first episode was shown.
