"I'm in Love" is the name of a song written by Bobby Womack in the 1960's in response to some of the heat he'd been receiving after marrying the widow of the recently deceased Sam Cooke. The song was given to Wilson Pickett and his version became a top 10 R&B hit on Billbard's chart, as well as a #45 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, in 1968. However, the version to achieve the most success came in 1974, when Aretha Franklin released it as a single. Her version topped Billboard's R&B chart and also made the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.
