I'm Just A Kid is a song from Canadian rock group Simple Plan, written by Pierre Bouvier, released as a single in 2001. It was included on their 2002 debut album No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls. It was featured in the movies Grind, The New Guy and Cheaper By The Dozen.

The music video is about how an average guy tries to hit on a girl (Elisha Dushku) by doing dangerous things as other guys interrupt to take his place and fail to succeed. It is also famous for the surreal sequence when the typical cool guy gets crashed by a school bus. His body explodes and blood is splattering. The music video was made with actors from "The New Guy", such as DJ Qualls; as such, it was released as an extra on "The New Guy" DVD.

[edit] Trivia

  • Tony Hawk appears on a video, as one of the skateboard audience. He is shown cheering after a performer successfully slides on a rail.
