[edit] Synopsis

The Moyans meet a medical ship, and move to transport their Scarran there, as well as Jool. Chiana begs Jool not to go, having a premonition of her death. Jool does delay, but the Scarran goes, and Talyn, unprovoked, destroys the ship. When Moya tries to stop him, he fires on her, injuring her. The Moyans sadly realize Talyn has become too crazy, too violent, too uncontrollable. For his own good, and the safety of many innocents, he must be shut down and restored with a new personality. John, Crais, and Aeryn speak tearfully to Moya and Talyn, and are ultimately able to accomplish the deed.

Meanwhile, Rygel and D'Argo travel down to a diner in a neutral area to meet with Scorpius and Braca and negotiate their feigned surrender to the PKs. The situation is tense, but relaxes somewhat when Scorpius pulls out his "Yensch" bracelets--the two people wearing them feel everything the other person feels, and if one dies, the other does as well. The bracelets are put on D'Argo and Braca. Just as things seem settled, two aliens, who ressemble blue monkeys, come in to rob the place. They realize the people there are important, and take them hostage. Eventually it's revealed that the cook, who is in a relationship with the owner, hired them to burn the place down and make it look like it was done by criminals, so they can escape from their life there. Scorpius, Braca, D'Argo, and Rygel are forced to team up to defeat the frelling blue monkeys. Many problems are caused because whatever bad happens to Braca, happens to D'Argo, and vice versa. Rygel becomes his most devious as he teams up with Scorpius, and they succeed in killing the blue monkeys, but not before the death of the cook.

The treaty is made and the parties return to their own vessels.
