Hypsiprymnodontidae is a family of macropods, commonly referred to as the rat-kangaroos. There is a single known extant species, the Musky Rat-kangaroo which occurs and in northern Australia and New Guinea. During the Pleistocene megafauna from this family occurred in the genera Ekaltadeta.
