Hypnosis (2005) is the first published novel by Lucas Hyde. The first edition was published as an encrypted e-book on May 5, 2005. A revised second edition followed shortly, published August 1, as a print-on-demand paperback. The revised third edition was published December 2, 2005 in hardback, and as an online novel, and a free e-book.

The plot centers upon a copywriter called Gordon Lissope and his encounter with hypnotherapist Julian Auger, exploiting the theme of hypnotism to reach insights about the human condition.
