Many of its products are targeted at the Business Intelligence and Business performance management market. In 2007, Gartner put Hyperion in the Leader quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms. Oracle Corporation announced on March 1, 2007 that it had agreed to purchase Hyperion Solutions Corporation for $3.3 billion in cash [1], [2].
