"Hyper Music" and "Feeling Good" are songs performed by the English rock band Muse and are featured on their second album, Origin of Symmetry. The two songs were later released as a double A-sided single from that album on November 19, 2001 (see 2001 in British music).
The song "Hyper Music" was inspired by the book Hyperspace, written by Michio Kaku.[citation needed] "Feeling Good" is a cover of a song originally from a 1965 musical (The Roar of the Greasepaint—the Smell of the Crowd)).
Both songs were later featured on the Hullabaloo Live DVD. Additionally, on the accompanying CD for that soundtrack, an acoustic version of "Hyper Music" closes the first disc. The song, called "Hyper Chrondriac Music", uses essentially the same lyrics with different music backing it and was originally released as a B-side on the single for "Bliss". An acoustic version of the B-side "Shine", "Shine Acoustic", is also featured on the Hullabaloo Soundtrack.
In the build-up to publicising the single around Europe, Muse performed live on Spain's 'Radio 3' and 'TVE'. Matt Bellamy replaced the lyrics to the second verse of Feeling Good with "Fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking little fucking, fucking little fucking, fucking fucker, yeah"[1]. Muse have been banned from Radio 3 ever since.[citation needed]
