The basic concept of the glass is to receive a precise energy boost that takes effect in a very short space of time. The alcohol floats in the top compartment and does not mix with the Hype in the bottom compartment.

Hype is also the official drink of the internationally syndicated and streamed internet radio station, SSRadio. Hype Energy is also an official sponsor of Cyber Evolution or Cevo. Cevo is the largest online gaming league in the United States. Hype tends to sponsor gaming teams, skate boarders like Toebee Parkhurst, Dj's, and freestyle skiers. Hype Energy also sponsors 2006 OSCAAR Series CHampion John Fletcher Jr.
