Hymenopodinae is a subfamily of the family Amorphoscelidae. This family contains praying mantids and the subfamily typically contains mantids modified for preying upon flowers or other colourful flora. These specimins usually have bright colours used to camouflage themselves with their environment. Their colours range from deep blue to pale pink.
