Hylands Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hylands Park is a country house and its surrounding 232-hectare (574 acre) park in Essex in southern England. It is now owned by Chelmsford Borough Council. The park is generally open to the public except when used for special events, e.g. V Festival. The house is undergoing restoration, which is due to be completed in 2007.
The park has been chosen as the site for the 21st World Scout Jamboree in 2007 and has already hosted Eurojam in the summer of 2005. Hylands House also doubled as the US White House in the 2004 film Chasing Liberty.
