Hydrohalic acid
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hydrohalic acid is a group name for the acids of the halogens, which are the aqueous solutions of the hydrogen halides:
- Fluorine F - hydrofluoric acid: HF
- Chlorine Cl - hydrochloric acid: HCl
- Bromine Br - hydrobromic acid: HBr
- Iodine I - hydroiodic acid: HI
As you move further up the list the acids strength decreases, even though hydrofluoric acid is by far the most corrosive on the list.
