Hyde Middle School

Hyde Middle School, official name Warren E. Hyde Middle School, is a middle school located in the Rancho Rinconada neighborhood of Cupertino, California. It is part of the Cupertino Union School District. The school colors are blue and white and the school mascot is the lion. It earned a California Distinguished School award in 1994.

The current principal at Hyde is Todd Shimada and Assistant principal is Lisa Taormina. Formerly, the principal had been Stephen Parker, who is currently retired.

Students of the school may take either one or two electives, depending on whether the student chooses to take an optional "zero period" (a class period before the first.)

Hyde Middle School is known to be the only middle school with ELD <English Language Development> Program in Cupertino Union School District.

Typically, students of Hyde come from either De Vargas Elementary School, Eisenhower Elementary School, Sedgwick Elementary School, or as ELD participants from John Muir Elementary School. Most students then go on to attend Cupertino High School, located in the same neighborhood, upon completion of their middle school curriculum. Some go to Fremont High School

Hyde Middle School is especially known for its wrestling and track teams
