[edit] Plot summary

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The guys decide to throw a party at Hyde's place and Bud leaves wishing them a good party. Kitty comes by and checks up on them, but they get her to leave even though she's suspicious after seeing only olives in the fridge and ice coming out of Fez's pants. As the party begins the guys all make Eric drink during a game of quarters and Eric keeps missing. Kelso walks Eric, who is obviously drunk, home and when he arrives he calls Red a "big bald party pooper," but unfortunatly Red is right behind him. Eric turns around and he throws up on his shoes. Red & Kitty put him on the couch and Kitty asks Red if they could take Hyde back because Bud is such a bad father. Bud shows up later and Red lets him know that as a father the goal is not to be a friend, but to teach him right from wrong so the child doesn't turn into a dumbass and Kitty hands him a bag of groceries proclaiming that there are four food groups. Bud heads back to his place and tells Hyde to send everyone home, to take out the trash, and eat a banana, and calls him a dumbass. The next day Hyde tells Eric about how he doesn't like that Bud is all of a sudden strict, but Eric sees that he secretly is happy about it. Red comes down and hands Eric a present. Unfortunatly it's Red's shoes from the night before and he tells Eric to buff, clean, & shine them.

Jackie is upset that this will be her first Christmas spent without a boyfriend so she convinces Donna to go with her to the bar where they meet two older firemen. During conversation Rob notices that Jackie's laugh is familiar to a girl he kissed before, her mom. Jackie is repulsed and immeadiately leaves with Donna afraid that'll she'll never hook up with anyone again. Donna then tells her she looks like Mary Tyler Moore which makes her believe that she will make it after all.
