Talk:Hybrid animals

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hybrids are a cross-breeding between two animals which can be in the same genus, or be two sub-species. In my opinion, hybrids are not good or bad, but do have some positive and negative aspects; the positive meaning that we can cross-breed to make better animals (eg. mules are very useful, as like donkey's, they can take heavy loads, but are also bigger, like many ponies and horses). But, the negative side shows that hybrids such as the geep only have a tiny survival rate past the embryo, as each of the two animals have a different number of chromosomes. So, do we have a reason to say cross-breeding is good or bad? In my belief, no, we don't.
