Hyūga (日向市 Hyūga-shi?) is a city located in Miyazaki, Japan. The city is located at 32.4166N, 131.6166E)
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 59,098 and the density of 503.26 persons per km². The total area is 117.43 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1951.
Hyūga City is known for the production of luxury go stones and for a very fine surfing beach nearby.
