I'm very new to Wikipedia. Although I've used Wikipedia for reference purposes for years, I only began contributing in spring 2006, compelled by the shock I experience in discovering that the U.S. had pulled out of the Optional Protocol to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.

My main interests in life are Russia, travel, and learning foreign languages. I speak English natively, Russian fluently, Spanish poorly, have just begun learning Greek, and hope to pick up Ukrainian soon.

I also enjoy crafts (such as knitting and sewing), cooking, ballroom dance, and literature.
