The following image is claimed to be fair use historical because of the following. The reasons given below are according to Wikipedia:Image description page where states Historical significant pictures can be uploaded and qualifying as fair use.

The image was released to the press and it was obtained from a press kit.
It is a picture of historical nature showing a famous individual on this case Dr.Hwang Woo Suk posing to the camera on World Stem Cell hub in Seoul Korea announcing to the press (Nature magazine) his recent successes on stem cell research.
In absence of free graphic material which can be used for this purpose Wikipedia admits copyright images in low resolution can be uploaded to Wikipedia servers based on US Wikipedia.
The historical relevance of the following picture adds detailed information to the article and its inclusion on it makes clear how the events developed, to the general public.
