Hwana language

Hwana is a language of Nigeria. Within Afro-Asiatic languages it is a subset of Chadic languages in the Eastern "A.1" group of Biu-Mandara languages.

There are four divisions:

  • Hwana Guyaku
  • Hwana Tawa
  • Ngithambara
  • Hwana Barni

Other names:

  • Hwona
  • Hona
  • Tuftera (name for language)
  • Fiterya (name for the speakers)
