Hvis Lyset Tar Oss (If the Light Takes Us) is an album by the Norwegian black metal one-man band Burzum. It was recorded in September 1992 (just a month after the "Aske" Ep), but not released until May 1994. This is Varg's favourite Burzum album, and has been seen as the best of his work, especially the track 'Det som en gang var' ('That which once was').
The album's cover features a drawing by 19th century artist Theodor Kittelsen named Fattigmannen (The Pauper).
